Lai da Marmorera reservoir ahead of Julier pass.
This is Switzerland to you, unreal landscapes. What you see here is Tinizong-Rona town and surroundings.
Crossed back to Italy through Splugen Pass.Though St Bernard pass was next in the list,i could have continued on swiss side. But i have a history with Switzerland where my motorcycle’s chain broke 20 Kms before Bern on another roadtrip to Northern Europe.I spent around 1200 Euros getting it towed, repaired and staying in a expensive hotel in bern for the night.I quickly steered back to Italy 🙂
Great St Bernard pass was the most beautiful moment of the day.Third highest road pass in Switzerland.I spent quite some time here talking to other biker blokes and sipping coffee over some croissant, again acting upon the Intel i gathered along my journey about French breakfast,Just getting used to it 🙂
Somewhere towards Martigny
Descending towards Martigny. Notice the vineyards on either side of the road.
I had a very short stay in Chamonix, was only there to have glimpse of Mont Blanc from whatever distance possible.Since it was weekend and i arrived here in second half, i decided to skip the cable car to the top. However,i did had a sumptuous chicken burger meal at Mc Donalds, need of the hour. While i was at it,i missed meeting one of my friend who was here for the weekend.Well, in order to say yes to some priorities..you have say No to some.
To come back to Italy and leave towards Little St Bernard pass,I accidentally got into this tunnel at France-Italy border.Which costed me whopping €28.80 one way. There goes my meal money for couple of days. 🙂
This pass was equally magnificent. Especially the Verney lake with mountains on the backdrop.
Descending on French side.
Lac Du Chevril on my course to Col de l’Iseran
