I had good castle time and world war lessons during my run in France.Now it was time to relax and have some beer time in Belgium and some herbal treatment in Amsterdam 🙂
While i was there in Caen,I should have visited the museum of WW2.Only to read about it later and regret on what i had missed.
For the evening i arrived in Ghent where i stayed with a friend who was studying there.I was there for one day,but i ended up staying for two days.Me and the clothes accompanying me was smelling like horse shit,but my friend tolerated it a bit and helped me out to get it cleaned 🙂
Ghent has beautiful looking citry center too 🙂
This quay on the left in the historic city center of Ghent is known as Graslei, On the other side of Leie river is the quay called as Korenlei.

These canals and reflection of the houses adds lot of beauty to the city center.
Gravensteen – This was pretty old castle belonging to 10th century,I gave it a miss to save 10 euros and invest them wisely on Belgian beers.I did had good look from the outside from all directions though 🙂
I walked around the town and found lot interesting things to admire.My personal interest being art establishments and wall paintings 🙂

Time to say good bye to my friend Rohan as i continued towards Antwerp for a quick stop.Glasses makes me look cool,alteast that is what i like to think
